Scale ticket

A document from a certified scale showing a truck's weight, used to prove the load is within legal limits.

A scale ticket is the printed record from a certified scale showing what a truck weighs — typically broken down by axle group as well as the total. It’s the proof that a rig’s weight was measured and where it stands against legal limits.

Drivers get one when they weigh at CAT Scales or a similar certified scale, and use it to confirm every axle group is within its axle rating before facing an official weigh station. It can also document legal weight if a load is ever questioned.
