VIN

Vehicle Identification Number — a unique code assigned by the manufacturer that identifies a specific vehicle.

A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is the unique string the manufacturer assigns to each vehicle. No two vehicles share one, so it’s the definitive way to identify a specific truck or trailer.

The VIN ties a vehicle to its registration, title, insurance, and history, and appears throughout that paperwork — including alongside the base plate and cab card. It’s used for everything from registering the truck to ordering the right parts.
